There is more than one artist with this name:
1) The Spiders were a mid-60s group that included Vincent Furnier (who later changed his name to Alice Cooper). Three of their songs are still available on the first disc the 1999 Alice Cooper box set, "The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper". (most releases was without article "the")
2) The Spiders (ザ・スパイダース) are a Japanese group (1961-1971). The Spiders were usually considered the biggest of the "Group Sounds" bands.
