Carol Fran is a southwest Louisiana Creole musician who hales from near Lafayette. She was born in 1930. She is a vocalist and pianist. She performs R&B, Blues, Swamp Pop and Jazz. Her career began in thew 1950s. Her first hit was "Emmett Lee". Carol is one of a few Creole performers who still sing in Creole dialect. She continues to perform and record.
