There are three artists with the name Kontakt: 1) Kontakt is an alias of American Producer Nik Kanter born and raised in New York City in the early '80s. His music is performed live on an all hardware set up using a computer only for post production and recording. A wholly experimental project which began in 2000 and continues to this day, Kontakt is more of a musical concept than dance music. It fits to no genre mostly and is very experimental, which fits right in along side his fellow producers on Army Collective Records, which he founded in 2005.
