Forming in 2002, Shaye are a Canadian pop group, consisting of singer-songwriters Kim Stockwood, Damhnait Doyle and Tara MacLean. Their name is a tribute to Tara Maclean's sister Shaye Martirano who died on May 24, 2002, as the result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident earlier that day on the Trans-Canada Highway in St. Leonard, she was aged 26. Shaye's debut album The Bridge (produced by Bill Bell and Jay Joyce) was released in 2003 on EMI Music Canada. The album features songs by Ron Hynes, Sinead Lohan and Crash Vegas.
