There are two bands that use the name The Underneath. One is a Japanese rock band formed in 1996, previously called Transtic Nerve. The second one was part of the cult indie pop label El Records in 1987. With a high level of musicianship and a mysterious charisma, the Underneath is rapidly shaking up live houses throughout Japan with an aesthetic explosion of sound. As the moral support and backbone of the band, drummer MASAKI provides a rhythm that is at once heavy and danceable, working together with a strong electro beat.
