Hans Zimmer (born September 12, 1957) is an Academy Award, Grammy, and Golden Globe award-winning film score composer from Germany James Newton Howard (born June 9, 1951 in Los Angeles) is an Academy Award nominated film score composer. Zimmer and Howard collaborated on the score for the 2005 superhero film Batman Begins and its 2008 sequel The Dark Knight.
