There is more than one artist with this name. Mondo cane is another Mike Patton project. It features Patton, backed with a 40-piece orchestra, a 15-piece band and choir, providing vocals for a collection of covers of Italian pop songs from the '50s, '60s and '70s. The music is arranged by Mike Patton together with Daniele Luppi, a young and talented Italian film music composer. The album was recorded during a series of performances in Europe, which included a show in an outdoor northern Italian piazza.
