Stephanie Simon uses her own life to draw from for musical inspiration. You wouldn't know it listening to this mostly upbeat rock album, but Simon's third CD, "Widow," featured on WB's Smallville, was written and recorded the year after her husband passed away. Simon's newest CD, "Butterfly," is based on her personal experience with emotional abuse. It is a powerful tribute to women suffering from domestic violence and sends the message that we can spread our wings and come out of any tragedy, as stronger, better, and more positive people.
