We Were Promised Jetpacks are a four-piece rock band, formed in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2003 by high school friends Adam Thompson (Guitar/Vocals), Michael Palmer (Guitar), Sean Smith (Bass) and Darren Lackie (Drums).
