Sidsel Endresen (born June 19, 1952) is a Norwegian jazz singer. She is one of those creative vocal artists who are extremely difficult to describe properly. For the last decade both Sidsel Endresen and Christian Wallumrød have been at the forefront of the contemporary Norwegian music scene as performers, composers and bandleaders. Their collaboration started in 2002. Outside of their improvising duo work they have collaborated in Endresen’s commissioned piece for Bergen Jazzfestival 2002: “Living Rooms” and in her current “Undertow”-project with Jan Bang.
