Cultura Profética was formed in 1996 by the need to express musically. Its first record production "Canción de alerta" sold over 60,000 units in Puerto Rico alone. The band is composed of 11 musicians that achieve an excellent and very sticky musical fusion, with a base headed by a rhythm of traditional roots reggae mixed with harmonies of salsa, jazz, electronica, trip hop, ska, and afro-caribbean beats, among others. Cultura Profética achieves a very peculiar sound that has been admired by many artists, musicians, engineers and the largest exponents in the international reggae scene.
