Altar of Oblivion is a Danish epic doom / heavy metal band highly in the vein of the 80's style. They have released one demo, called "The Shadow Era" (2007), and a full-length album entitled "Sinews of Anguish" (2009), released by Shadow Kingdom Records. The lyrical theme of this album is based around a German soldier fighting on the Eastern Front during the Second World War.
