Ella Henderson (born 12 January 1996) is an 18 year old singer / songwriter from Lincolnshire, England. She is one of the contestants on The X Factor (Season 9, 2012) that wowed the judges with her heart-rending tribute she had penned to her late grandfather. Mel B: 'Whoever, or whatever you wrote that song about those words, I’m sure, hit a chord with everyone. Your song writing is so clever. It made me go into my own little world, and go, "Oh my God – I felt like that at one point".
