There are three bands named Sneakers. #1: A late 1970s powerpop band that featured Chris Stamey and Mitch Easter, who later came to prominence spearheading the bands The dB's and Let's Active (as well as producing R.E.M.) respectively. #2 A late 1970's North Carolina punk band. #3: A Danish pop band formed in the 1980s by Sanne Salomonsen.
They played a fusion of rock, pop and jazz inspired by foreign artists such as Toto, Santana and Fleetwood Mac.
