Robert Anthony Rodríguez (born June 20, 1968) is a Mexican-American film director. He was born in San Antonio, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin. He is known for making profitable, crowd-pleasing independent and studio films with fairly low budgets and fast schedules by Hollywood standards. Rodríguez is of Mexican descent and shoots and produces his films in Texas and Mexico.
