Born Hull 26/01/1926 as Adrian Hill, died in Hailsham East Sussex 21st July 2001. Various jobs, met and married Joan Conyer in 1948(she died 1986), one son and two daughters.Married Chrissie Westall 1989, one son. Had a fine semi operatic voice, and his first wife encouraged him to try professional singing. Won a competition in Leeds, made a record in 1953, followed by'I Believe', which charted at N0 2., and he was awy, becoming one of the most popular British singers of the 1950s.
