Started as a pet project (and an alias) of Per Aksel Lundgreen, known from Apoptygma Berzerk, Cronos Titan and Chinese Detectives, "Angst Pop" rose to contribute to the pioneer Norwegian EBM compilation CD, "Sex, Drugs & EBM", released on Tatra Records as early as 1992!!! A video was made for the track "Ødipus Rex", a video that was later re-mixed and re-modelled, and so was also the song, so the "Ødipus Rex (Video Version)" appeared on the Scandinavian Electro/Idustrial compilation "Melt" on Cyberware Records in 1995.
