A country and hot jazz quartet from 1935-1942, best known for their use of the slide whistle—normally used for cartoon sound effects—as a melodic lead instrument. They had hits with the novelty tunes "From the Indies to the Andes in His Undies" and "I Like Bananas, Because They Have No Bones", as well as appearing in Western movie serials.
