An Oxford (UK) based 4-piece, Cody originally formed in 1996 to play a strange mid-fi mix of synthpop, post-punk and indie rock that gained them a single on local label Shifty Disco. "Simple", released in August 1997, was an 8-minute droning partly-spoken epic that gained gushing reviews and comparisons to Stereolab, Cabaret Voltaire and Arab Strap.
