The Banner was a hardcore punk band from New Jersey with an at times strong metal influence. recording their first record the EP Posthumous in 2000 and eventually releasing it in 2001 on Brightside/Blackout records. The Banner went on to record and release "Murder Mixtape" for Brightside/Blackout in 2002 and record the never released "Reflection in the shadow of the beast" nearly 31 minute long droning concept song album.
