Mandylion is a Japanese new age symphonic speed metal. Mandylion use glistening string sections that offer supermarket-style semiclassical runs, while zany axework and thunderous heavy metal drums set up the lyrical assault. Mandylion is also a German Gothic band, whose songs have a very "Gregorian" feel, with chants and atmospheric keyboards.
