Glass and Ashes was a hardcore punk band from Ventura, California. The short-lived band released albums through No Idea Records between 2004 and 2008, prior to the breakup that ultimately spawned two members' involvement in Young Livers, Michael Carter's and Dave Hall's newest endeavor. Formerly playing under the name Kenji, Glass and Ashes soaked every possible ounce of spirit and passion from a full-velocity scream. Musically dynamic and compelling, Glass and Ashes garnered comparisons to Torches to Rome, Planes Mistaken for Stars, and Yaphet Kotto, with a touch of D.
