Tommy Duncan (1911-1967) was the longtime singer in Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys, originally starting with the Light Crust Doughboys in the early 1930s. In 1948 he quit the Playboys and started his own band. During his career he sang on hundreds of sides, one of the most prolific singers in history. His warm baritone was one of the most distinctive in early country music history.
