Kevin Ferguson is back with Exotic Extremes, an audio tour through the land formally comprising the Ottoman Empire, featuring traditional tunes from Macedonia, Egypt, Bulgaria, the Balkans, Serbia, Israel and the Middle East, transcribed to electric and/or acoustic guitar. Having the gypsy people as common inhabitants throughout these lands give the transcriptions and resulting performances striking results, as Ferguson strove to match the corresponding ornamentation, tone, phrasing, rhythmic accents, grace notes and other nuances ot the original melodies.
