Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu is a five-member band hailing from Western Finland. The band combines elements of traditional Finnish folk-music with energetic rock, blending into catchy tunes with a twist. The band's frontman, Lauri Tähkä, sings all lyrics in the distinct Western Finnish dialect, creating a distinct feeling of the music coming from a long tradition of folk-singers. This is furthered by the fiddling of Johanna Koivu, which also draws on the tradition of fiddle-music that exists in Western Finland.
