Hal McKusick
Hal McKusick is a jazz alto saxophonist, clarinetist, flautist & bandleader. In the 40's he worked with the likes of Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Claude Thornhill, and Boyd Raeburn. During the mid-to-late 50's, as he's best remembered, he recorded nine albums as leader using complex arrangements courtesy such greats as George Handy, Gil Evans, and George Russell.
