There are at least two groups called "Monoton" One is an Austrian experimental minimal electronic duo Konrad Becker and Daniël Leeflang who started in the 80s. The other is a quartet from Copenhagen, Denmark. They've been around since '96.
This Monoton plays heavy urban rock music with a dash of repetitive - distilled blues, moody country and dark evocative minimalism. The unique instrumentation underlines the searching, wistful atmosphere that saturates the songs of Monoton.
