Crippled Black Phoenix is a band from the United Kingdom, formed in 2004. The band has described their own songs as "end time ballads". And it constantly and legitimately refuses being tagged as "post-rock" or "indie-folk". "Born from a blizzard of horned cats, Crippled Black Phoenix bring you a twisted cinematic experience, handcrafted by a mercenary crew of underground heavyweights, giving depth and gravity to regal songs about love, loss, tragedies and redemption." The band got its name from the lyrics of an Iron Monkey song.
