Formed by former Mahumodo front man Mehdi Safa and drummer Tom Harriman, based in the United Kingdom and in California, *shels (sometimes referred to as Shels) self-released their debut album 'Sea of the Dying Dhow' on June 18, 2007 on their own imprint (*)shelsmusic. Showcasing progressive, cinematic soundscapes and raw brutality, *shels' live lineup has featured members of Eden Maine, Mahumodo, and Fireapple Red.
