Jesse Fuller was born on March 12, 1896 in Jonesboro, GA. Well known for being a one man band, Fuller played a homemade bass called the "fotdella" that was fashioned with piano strings and played with a foot pedal. Fuller's style is similar to most Georgia bluesmen of the time, that is a Peidmont style on 12 string. Fuller did not become serious about making music until 1951 while living in the Bay Area.
