The Funeral Drums are a 5 piece group of multi-instrumentalists from Long Island. After 7 years of playing together their sound has developed into a distinctive high-energy indie rock that blends Reggae beats, Beatle-esque harmonies, driving hard rock and punk soul. In 2005 and 2006 –The Funeral Drums (while still in High School) won first place in the Sachem District Battle of the Bands. The prizes included a free recording session, cd release and a feature/live performance on WUSB radio. In 2007 they were finalists in Traxx’s Battle of the Bands, sponsored by Monster energy drink.
