There are three artists using the name "Slave": One, a funk band operating in the 1970s and 1980s; second, a hardcore punk band from doylestown, pa, formed sometime in 2007. Third is an indie hip hop artist from Los Angeles, CA(formerly went by R(E)CIPE). (1) Arguably the hottest of the '70s Ohio funk bands, Slave had a great run in the late '70s and early '80s. Trumpeter Steve Washington formed the group in Dayton in 1975.
