There are at least two bands under the name "The Stress": 1) Hailing from Providence, Rhode Island, The Stress draws heavily from 60’s Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae, as well as from influences ranging from American soul to British-invasion creating a unique and refreshing style. The combined songwriting powers of the group, as well as their instrumental and vocal prowess, shine through in their highly original, yet familiar sound.
