Mephisto Walz are legendary for their contributions to the death rock genre, having been an inspiration to a whole host of contemporary gothic artists. Mephisto Walz was formed by Barry Galvin in 1985 after having departed from death rock progenitors Christian Death. Mephisto Walz have an accomplished discography behind them, having released several well respected full-length albums over the course of their existence (most notably through Cleopatra Records).
