The New 1920 have been playing live since May 2006. The band consists of former members of underground bands Douglas, The Take and thisGIRL. After just a handful of shows with local Welsh bands such as Kids In Glass Houses, The Blackout and DARTZ! they started to create a buzz and attract attention from local press, radio and record companies.

In October 2006 they recorded their first single 'Torpedo Libido' which was released through local label TPF/Thousand Yard Stereo records.
