Der Fluch is a gothic rock band from Germany. Founded in 1981 by Deutscher W. in Leverkusen, Germany. In the early days, the band's music was like a mix of Cramps, Meteors, Misfits, and of course OHL (another Deutscher W. band). For then Der Fluch was only a project of Deutscher W., who wanted to live out his preference for B-movies and the dark side of his soul with a new band. The first vinyl works, now considered rarities, gained immediate cult status. Der Fluch was the first band to play that particular style of music with lyrics that hadn't been heard on other Germans band.
