Anthony (Tony) Rice is an acoustic steel string flatpick guitar virtuoso. Primarily a bluegrass player, he was a founding member of the David Grisman Quintet setting the guitar standard for the bluegrass-jazz fusion music often called Dawg (after the bearded facial appearance of David Grisman)or New Acoustic Music. He was also an excellent bluegrass singer but tragically lost his voice in the 80's.
