Phillip Boa (* January 18, 1963 as Ernst Ulrich Figgen in Dortmund, Germany) is a German pop musician, singer, guitarist and composer. In 1985 he founded the independent band Phillip Boa & The Voodooclub. With the 1989 album Hair and the single Container Love, they achieved commercial success and international acknowledgment. Boa's music is affected by british punk and new wave, and oscillates between pop and avantgarde.
