Quartette Tres Bien are among the earliest supercool jazz funksters. I wish they would've recorded for Blue Note. They have a similar sound and style to the Ramsey Lewis Trio, Billy Larkin and the Delegates or Odell Brown & the Organ-izers. The snappy bongo beat recalls the gogo beats of Sandy Nelson. Dig!
