Mary Travers
Mary Travers (November 9, 1936 – September 16, 2009), born Mary Ellin Travers in Louisville, Kentucky. Travers was a member of the folk group Peter, Paul & Mary, one of the most successful folk-singing groups of the 1960s. The group Peter, Paul and Mary launched in 1961 and broke up in 1970, after which Travers pursued a solo career, recording five albums on her own.
