Barbara Gaskin is a British singer who, with her musical partner Dave Stewart (better known from National Health & Hatfield and the North), formed the duo 'Stewart & Gaskin' in 1980. They had a Number One hit in both the UK and Germany with a cover version of the song "It's My Party" in 1981. In 1983 they also released "Busy Doing Nothing", and later still in 1986 "The Locomotion". Although both singles made entries in the UK singles chart, neither reached the heights of their debut release.
