Theaudience were a britpop band which formed in 1997. The band consisted of Sophie Ellis-Bextor (vocals), Billy Reeves (guitar), Dean Molle (guitar), Kerin Smith (bass), Nyge Butler (keyboards) and Patch Hannon (drums). The band split in 1999 after releasing one album and four singles. They were founded by guitarist Billy Reeves, formerly of indie group Congregation. The group were fronted by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and achieved some success with their new wave-style records.
