Gaia Consort is a Seattle-based band lead by singer/songwriter Christopher Bingham. They are a self-described "psychedelic folk rock band," but it is hard to peg them into any one style. They seem to move effortlessly from one genre to another, drawing from jazz, celtic music, 70's psychedelic rock, and whatever else the song requires. The poetic lyrics touch on topics such as religion, politics, polyamory, and environmentalism, but at its heart the music is a celebration of life.
