German DJ Thomas Kukula founded General Base around 1990. After several years of DJ'ing in Germany he decided to not only play music, but also to make and produce it. General Base released the single Apache (followed by an interactive remix CD) and Poison in 1993. 1993 was also the year for the release of his first album, First.
