Cay were a grunge band from London, UK.
They formed in 1998 around singer Anet Mook, guitarist Nicky Olofson, bassist Tom Harrison and drummer Mark Bullock.
They rose to prominence with airtime on Xfm, and then debut single Better Than Myself, featuring Anet's breathy Kim Gordon-esque vocal style and a big grunge-out chorus.
They later released their one and only album, Nature Creates Freaks, a solid, if a little over-produced set.
The band also recorded 2 Peel sessions, one of tracks from NCF, and one of unrealeased songs, probably earmarked for a second album.
