"Others maintained the genre, HICKEY evolved it." Others have said it and I believe it. Were they geniuses? Loadies on a socio-political sarcasm-laced guitar based rampage? Leaders of a Naked Cult out to take down the man in all his evil incarnations? Guys just like us? Depends on who you talk to. Founding members Matty Luv (guitar) and Aesop (drums) moved to California from Florida after the break up of their previous band, The Fuckboyz. Shortly after their arrival they formed Hickey after recruiting Bass player Chubby who had previously been in Schleprock.
