The Vectors
The Vectors emerged from the Fullerton, California punk scene in the late '70s. Their first break came when they entered a novelty song called "Death to Disco" in a contest that radio station KROQ was having for a "NO DISCO" compilation record. (The Insane Darrell Wayne.) The song appeared on the album and gained radio airplay on KROQ, KNAC and several college radio stations. They put together a permanent line-up and began gigging around Orange County and Los Angeles.
