Funeralium was founded in June 2003 by Marquis who wanted to create one of the sickest doom band on this fucking earth inspired by bands like Bethlehem, Abruptum, Thergothon, Saint Vitus and Burning Witch. Berserk who also plays with Marquis in Ataraxie (90s doom/death) joined the band soon after with Ys and Toxine from Heol Telwen (celtic black). Funeralium describes their style as "ultra sick doom" and plays sick, tortured, disturb minded, extreme doom METAL without any romantic vibes, female vox, circus keys and cheesy lyrics.
