Jeff Barry discovered her singing in a group called the Tootsie Rock Revue and brought her to Spector’s attention. He changed her name to Jerri Bo Keno, and then he and Jeff wrote a song for her. “Here It Comes And Here I Go“ is a Country/Pop number that the producer turned into even more of a hybrid by setting it to a jerky rhumba beat and overlaying a sound effects track of someone stomping the Hell out of a plywood board.
