Palace In Thunderland emerged on the burgeoning stoner rock scene around the year 2000. The group distinguished themselves from the hordes of other like-minded bands of the time by incorporating more progressive elements and arrangements into their otherwise psych tinged metal. They garnered a reputation as a strong, yet somewhat inconsistant live act; some of their shows were marked by a rapid fire progression of riffs and fuzzed out metal songs, while others featured longwinded psych rock jams.
